The King's Speech was a solid picture about a king overcoming his speech impediment. But did I laugh, did I cry, was I moved, did I learn something, did it leave me in deep thought? The answer to all of these questions is a big fat NO. I really have no idea why this won the Oscar for best picture. Quite frankly it was kind of boring. No, I'm not some action film junkie. It wasn't boring because of the lack of explosions but for the lack of a dynamic plot. You can literally tell the whole story in 5 sentences and leave nothing out. Could you do the same for Inception, Black Swan, or even The Social Network? No you can't. Well maybe, with some really long sentences...
