The top show in the UK (almost 4 million viewers) is also the grossest. The Friday night timeslot is also known as the deathslot in the U.S. - its where television shows go to die because of lack of viewership. But in the UK this show is only getting bigger and bigger along with the boils and abscesses of its patients. Basically, if a medical documentary had sex with MTV, a reality show like this would be born. Premise is that they treat embarassing abnormalities of the human body in unfiltered, hd quality film. I'm sure that this show actually helps many people who think they are alone, carrying the burden of something thats too embarrassing to share with anyone. When they see someone on television with their same ailment, it may just give them the courage to seek the help that they needed. Thats cool and all but I'm sure the majority of people are watching just to be grossed out. I'm not saying thats bad. The shock factor is huge and it sells and I'm sure this show will be heading to a channel near you and soon.
