Do they celebrate Christmas in Japan?

YES they celebrate Christmas in Japan and all December long! Although its not a religious holiday, Japan is home of the "Christmas Illuminations" which are amazing light displays set up by businesses in many areas around Tokyo. People also dress up in costumes when they go out which always makes for some great adventures! I believe Christmas Eve is sort of like Valentine's Day but Christmas Night was definitely a big party!

  1. Why is it OK to not believe in Jesus but yet celebrate the day but not his birth? It would be fine with me if people didn't want to remove God from schools, but do they want to remove Christmas from school? No. Changing the name doesn't change the fact that it is CHRIST-mas, Christs birthday. It is a Christian holiday.
